Caribbean people know that Mammy would always tell us, “Go ask yuh tanty!” Well, what was past is now present—and today, that familiar phrase comes alive in this new release for our Quick & Dirty posts.
Listen to the song and hear what Tanty says you have to do to have a good time feting… OK, let’s go!
“Tanty Oye," featuring Farmer Nappy and Problem Child, arrives as part of the Brass Jam Riddim for the 2027 Soca season—and it’s shaping up to be a party favorite. The track brings a laid‑back, smooth groove perfect for Carnival 2027, blending nostalgia with modern Soca flair.
Key Elements of the Track
- Vocal Performances: Lyrics celebrate dancing and musical enjoyment, calling listeners to “put your hands in the air” and stay locked into the rhythm.
- Musical Style: Built on the Brass Jam Riddim, the production emphasizes bold brass instrumentation and a fast‑paced, festive beat typical of today’s Soca hits.
