This could be a recipe for contentious discussions or a relief that TUCO actually got involved and had the will to create a listing of the "Top 50 Calypsonians of the 20th. Century. Acceptance or a simple rebuke of the list depends on your ability to listen to and review the quantity and quality of the songs that each Calysonian recorded..

Then again, it may depend on the era you 'lived through' and the singers you were exposed to hearing on radio, record or live performances. The impact of the songs for any given period also counts regarding the status assigned to any particular singer. 

We invite you to take a look at the listing and venture to add your comments regarding the current listing. What is your opinion of the listing? Do you think that some names should be removed and others (not listed) added because they deserve to be on the list. 

We are not privy to the method used to select the fifty Calypsonians on the list. However, you may add your thoughts regarding a criteria to be use to create such a list. We look forward to reading and posting your comments.
