TUCO's involvement in creating a list of the "Top 50 Calypsonians of the 20th Century" could potentially spark contentious discussions or provide a sense of relief. Acceptance or a simple rebuke of the list depends on your ability to listen to and review the quantity and quality of the songs that each Calysonian recorded.

But it may depend on the era you lived in and the singers you heard on the radio, on record, or live. The impact of the songs for any given period also counts regarding the status assigned to any particular singer.
