If you followed our newly released music posts using the YouTube music player on the right side of this blog, you would have listened to "You, Soca and Money" by Nadia Batson featuring Dan Evens. This is a production by Dan Evens. If you are someone like me and you enjoy lively and danceable tunes, this song by Nadie, as she is fondly known, is likely to be an excellent fit. Of course, to form a more accurate opinion, I encourage you to listen to the song yourself and see how it resonates with your personal preferences.
Nadia always delivers excellent vocals and is also a gifted songwriter. "You, Soca, and Money" was written by Nadia, Erikkson George, and Dan Evens. You have it all with this music release. Well-written lyrics, excellent vocals, a well-produced song, and an eye-catching music video. We love this song and think it should move on from summer 2023 to Carnival 2024 in Trinidad and Tobago. We leave it up to those selfish radio DJs in Trinidad and Tobago to do the right thing!
So what do you think? Is this song worthy of "Soca 2024"? If not, an excellent song to fizzle away for 2023. This is the time that the upcoming music for Trinidad and Tobago's upcoming carnival starts to be released. Why not catapult this song into an excellent song for next year's festival? We think it deserves to replace some of the songs on COTT's redundant weekly chart for one simple fact, is a surefire hit song!
