To celebrate the event the legendary "Signal Band" performed for the people. Their performance lasted just under forty minutes. Feteisidore is a traditional festival held in Grand Bay, Dominica, on Saint Isidore the Labourer, May 15. The festival celebrates agriculture and the working class and features traditional music, dancing, food, and games.
The festival begins with a morning mass at Grand Bay Catholic Church. Following the service, locals lead a procession through Grand Bay's streets carrying a statue of Saint Isidore. The procession ends at the Grand Bay Community Center, where festivities continue.
Grand Bay Community Center festivities include traditional Dominican Bouyon music, dancing, and food. There are also games and competitions, such as limbo dancing, tug-of-war, and sack races. In the evening, there is a grand concert featuring local and regional bands.
Fete Isidore is a popular festival in Grand Bay and attracts people from all over the island. It is a celebration of the island's rich culture and heritage and a time for people to come together and enjoy themselves.
