In recent times, Jamaicans and Trinidadians have been working together on some sweet music collaborations; Dancehall meets Soca. It was not too long ago when Kees Dieffenthaller aka Kes, had a single with Shenseea titled "Close To Me"... it is a good thing that the collaborations continue. Today we feature the official music video for a song by international superstar and Grammy-Award-winning performer Shaggy featuring Kees Dieffenthaller of KES the Band. The song is "Mood". 

Mood was released for Trinidad & Tobago's carnival and features a music style familiar to Caribbean music lovers. The vibe of "Mood" captures elements of Dancehall and Soca bringing Jamaica and Trinidad culture to those thirsting for these collaborations. The song is an upbeat, dancehall-infused track that captures the essence of each artist's style. It is clear that they were able to bring out the best of both worlds. 

"Mood" has been around for a while but today the official music video takes the song to another level. Let your imagination compliment the talents of these two Caribbean superstars... just get into the mood and enjoy some sweet musical vibes. 

As we celebrate this music video keep in mind that this is the first of many new collaborations with Soca artists by Shaggy. He will soon release a Soca EP featuring Skinny Fabulous, Bunji Garlin, and Patrice Roberts. It is clear that Soca music is on the rise and that it may soon be the new vibe of the Caribbean basin and the music that makes a statement around the world.
