We love Calypso music and it goes without saying that we are in love with Soca music. Each style has something that people love and can complain about. However, there is a style of music that bridges both styles and feels really good. We call it CalypSoca! So what is CalypSoca? Simply put, a song with a slower Soca beat but the vocals are sung in Calypso style. Today we present an excellent representation of that musical style sung by Chuck Gordon.Are you still scratching your head? What are we talking about? We love this song... It has been a while since we heard something that appeals vocally and musically. We have to say that this one checks all the boxes and just adds up to something really good! Let's show some love to the people who made this song possible. The songwriter, Marvin Mason did a superb job and let's not forget the production done by Damien "Crazy D" Preston... excellent! Chuck's singing style is so relaxing; I could see this song in the Calypso Monarch finals and if Chuck wins it all we will applaud all the way from New York City!

The Mighty Duke in his immortal classic "What is Calypso" says "we bring you things that you yourself would say" (see/listen to 3rd verse). Well, "Maths eh Mathsing" has become a commonly used phrase among people to refer to situations and ideas that in simple terms make little sense and serve to create confusion and upset people. In this release, Chuck proceeds to reflect the sentiment of the people while actively engaging his role as the Calypsonian. In true 'Jiggy Calypso' style "Maths eh Mathsing" is danceable, energetic, and relatable.
