Level Up | Kernal Roberts | Trinidad & Tobago 2019

Soca with a Euro vibe for Trinidad and Tobago Carnival 2019. This is new music produced by Azikiwe Keller and Kernal Roberts; the song is entitled "Level Up" released on the Ki Ki Riddim. This song feels like it was created for the club scene but then again, something feels like it is a vibe to break away and fete like feting going out of style.

We think that this song will initially be scorned but after those haters get past the 'Euro Feel' they will be going crazy having fun with this one. Trust me, this love-hate relationship exists whenever something feels different, out of the norm. That will be the case for this song but in the end, these same people will have the best experience in fetes jamming to this song. Yes, we feel that good about the song!

We gave our overall view of the song above but what about the production and the vocals on the song. Feeling a feeling is one thing but what about the music? From the start you have a pounding kick bass driving the music production. The heart and soul of the music come from the drum kit and that is sweet Soca vibes. The rest of the instrumentation simply compliment and color the music. The vocal performance was a surprise. Of course, we know that young Kitch could sing but he really had a good sound on this track... vocals flowed without a hiccup.

We grade this one on a vibe and feel for the music along with a credible vocal performance. However, we are not heady about the lyrical content and the message in the song... you just can't have it all sometimes but must credit what you like. In other words, we can't 'Level Up' with the vocal content but gravitate to the vibe of the song.

We encourage you to support the artiste and the production team. We want you to spread the word about the song; please use the comment feature of this post to share your thoughts about the song with your peers. Keep in mind that fair use of social media is an excellent method to promote the artiste and song.  Take a few minutes and comment on the song/music production... the artiste and production team will appreciate your feedback. The lyrical content is not for the faint of heart. We don't support promoting the use of alcohol to have fun or to get rid of your problems. Regardless of what you hear in the song, one cannot drink the stresses of life away; it comes back with a vengeance and destroys the soul. If there is a weakness in the song is the celebration of alcohol in the song.

As a consideration, it should be apparent that the success of this song depends on your support, please share this post.
