Bend Over | Makamillion, Multi-Systom & Yankey Boy | 2019

We are going to do something a little different for this music post today. We are featuring the songs released today for the Ghost Busters Riddim for Trinidad and Tobago Carnival 2019.

Rumor has it that a big name female artiste has recorded a song for the album but it will be released at a later date.

We have three songs released today with multiple artistes on the songs. All three songs are featured for this post (music player below). However, you may be here expecting to listen to one song... Bend Over (based on the title of the post) with featured singers Makamillion, Multi-Symptom and Yankey Boy. Read on...

On my way home today I started listening to "Bend Over" (Benover) and, to be honest, it clouded my good judgment... the song hooked me and nothing else mattered. Sorry guys (on the other songs) but on any Riddim, some songs stick while others labor for approval. Don't get me wrong, all the songs on the Riddim are sweet but something about 'Bend Over' hooked me... maybe it was Multi-Symptom's sweet vocals!  So let's get to it, why "Bend Over"?

I will do things in reverse with this confession. The music, damn it was and is all about the music to start with... what a vibe! I felt old school, I felt Rapso style vibez, I felt chippin' and knocking bottle and spoon rhythms... I felt exuberant and profusely delighted listening to the music on this Riddim! What a vibe; wicked I tell you! Now I can work the rest of the confession of my "tabanca" for this song/music production.

The vocals on this song just feel right, it was the perfect coupling of voices. Then again Multi-Symptom has a damn sweet voice... his vocal style stands out on this one. You have to believe me... I received the acapella for the song (sent with the riddim release). Even the acapella sounds good. Imagine that, the music stands out and the acapella stands out... put them together and it is pure vibez!

OK, so with all the praise, is there something that did not score as well for "Bend Over"? Well, actually there is one area we can point to but because it is a carnival mash-up song we will give lyrical creativity a lower score. However, we must note that the lyrical content for this song fall in line with the carnal nature of Carnival... if we have to credit the use of  beverages that inebriate the physical being and dull the spiritual vessel along with the accompanying gyrating waist-lines in a song then we can't fault those who penned these lyrics...it was well done; c'est la vie!

Now we don't want to ignore the other two songs released today. We have them in the multiplayer below. X-Pose by Rayzor x Tim Tim is a similar song but, as mentioned previously, I listened to Bend Over first and got hooked.

Doh Hold Back is the final release for today's trio release received from Sing Soca (Jam2Vibes). It is a rum song (we don't like to praise rum songs) but this one is about the festive nature, fun side of enjoying the carnival experience more than the act of drinking rum... we give it a pass for lyrical content.

There is more to like than dislike for this Riddim release. We await the first big name music release for 2019. We know the song is ready for release but they are holding it back. We applaud Dj Future of Syndicate Music for the work done on this vibe... we love it!
