It is another year for Trinidad and Tobago Carnival; this year, we celebrate festival 2018 and from the numerous competitions we have compiled some of the results here for future reference. The first results are in for Trinidad and Tobago Young King Calypso Monarch. This competition took place at the Queen's Park Savannah on Monday January 22nd., 2018. We have a winner!
Young King Calypso Monarch Winner
Mark 'Ladies Man' Eastman won the first major calypso crown of the Carnival season when he captured the 2018 Young Kings Calypso Monarch at the show held at Queen's Park Savannah on Monday night. (Newsday TT).

Trinidad and Tobago National Extempo Champion for Carnival 2018
The Incredible Myron B is the 2018 Extempo Monarch. He (Myron B) dethroned 2017 champion Gypsy in the Extempo competition at the "Kaisorama" event for Carnival 2018 in sweet Trinidad and Tobago.
Myron B accomplished something that many Extempo artistes have failed to do for many years. Tonight at the Extempo Competition for Carnival 2018 Myron achieved the upset that was celebrated by his adoring fans when he defeated twelve time Extempo King Winston 'Gypsy' Peters to be crowned Extempo Champion for Trinidad and Tobago Carnival 2018! Well done and congratulations to Myron from Sokah2Soca...

International Soca Monarch 2018

Helon Francis is the 2018 Calypso Monarch. He beat 16 other bards to take the crown for the first time. His tune this year was "Change."
The reigning Soca Monarch, Aaron St. Louis, did not have his sweet voice tonight. I was very disappointed because he sounded like his 'voice' was compromised - he lost the sweetness, the 'voice' was not there! "The Year For Love" is such a beautiful song and the official recording is excellent however, his vocal performance was prone for defeat tonight. In the end (as per the judges decision) he prevailed and was crowned Soca Monarch 2018.

King and Queen of J'Ouvert Carnival 2018
Rondell Pierre and his niece Lynelle Pierre are the 2018 J’Ouvert King and Queen. Dressed as a baby, complete with disposable diapers and a large baby bottle, Rondell won with his portrayal, Wayne Chance Have Real Belly He Not Getting Fed Up.
Lynelle portrayed After Kamla Block the Anti-gang Bill She Has A Big Change of Heart. Both were received by the crowd with laughter and cheers.
