Take It Slow | Machel Montano | Trinidad and Tobago 2018

This is new music from the King of Soca, Machel Montano, for Trinidad and Tobago carnival 2018. This is his second music release and we are excited about this one. Why? We simply love the Afro/Soca infused music that accompanies the vocal performance on this one entitled "Take It Slow" from the Upendo (Love) Riddim.

This is a well written song; a song with a positive message. We noticed that Full Blown Entertainment were involved with the lyrical content for this one and just love it. Well done guys! Machel is very relaxed and in control of this one. We love it all, the music, lyrical content and the vocal performance. Indeed love is the key (ins't that always the case) and Machel is on top of his craft with this music release.  This is what we expect from 'The King of Soca... "oh chune boi"!

Music Release Notes:
Nine Mind Entertainment and Lenkey Records presents the Upendo Rddim for Carnival 2018; a fusion of sweet calypso groove, vintage flavors and modern tones. When we speak ‘Upendo’ (Ou-Pendo) we mean Love. The Swahili word is reflective of our African origins and the language is one of the most popular in the continent of Africa.

Drawing inspiration from the land of our ancestors is an intentional reminder of the root of our culture and the origination of sweet Calypso music. The Upendo Riddim represents Love, which is one of the keys to our salvation. In this critical time, we need Love. To survive in today’s world, we need to be reminded of the power of love.

Love is the key. Let the sentiment of Love and all that is involuntary about it control you. Some of the strongest musical names in Caribbean music have joined the Upendo movement with Nine Mind Entertainment and Lenkey Records. Each track (of the Upendo Riddim) has the underlying message of love in varying scenarios.
