Bois in Arima | Trinidad and Tobago Carnival 2016

Bois has always been a part of the culture of Carnival. However, it is not a feature of the festival that is promoted like the music or the costumes that drive the carnival machine. Bois is stick fighting. I can remember, as a youth, blood flowing in the Gayelle in the Congo (next to Stooge's bar).  I guess one can say that those were the 'good ole days'!
