This is new music from King Bubba and Lead Pipe for Carnival 2015. Since this song came out at this time I have to take it for granted that it was released for Trinidad and Tobago's carnival 2015. I have to state right away that I just don't see how this riddim fits in to the carnival season. This riddim does not give me the feeling that carnival is coming soon! It is still early and I may yet come back and sing praises for this production. However, at this time I am not really feeling this vibe.
I guess I don't understand what the producers attempted with this song/riddim; It feels so laid back but it may eventually have its time when the season truly launches. The lyrical content feels like carnival but the music that carries the vocals does not feel like carnival music - this is an experimentation that has not moved me. I will wait and see how the public reacts to this riddim. What is your opinion!
