If after you listened to this song you get the feeling that you were in the midst of Barbados Crop Over Festival I surely won't blame you. From the moment the music started I thought to myself that this was a release from Crop Over earlier this year.
When I listen to this song it sounds like and feels like music that Lil Rick did earlier this year (Bashment Soca Vibes); surely there is nothing wrong with that and I do hope that the Trinidad audience embrace this music style.
I expect that Patrice will deliver multiple music styles for Trinidad and Tobago's carnival as the festival comes closer to fruition. I don't think, but do hope, that this song from Patrice resonates well with the listening public in Trinidad and Tobago. My gut feeling is that it will not!
