World Stage | Benjai feat. General Grant | Trinidad 2014

Tired of listening to regurgitated  Soca music? Well here is a song that flips the script. I like to call this one 'Progressive Soca" or "Alternative Trini Vibe". This song, entitled "World Stage" is a production of Robert SN Baptiste from 'Simply Natural Family'. The song entitled "World Stage" presents the festival with music that can be played in any fete or club. This is not the typical Soca that you hear every day. It is unique and the lyrics addresses the subject of our upcoming festival.

The music is different and talking about contrasting singing styles. Benjai is an artiste with a distinctive singing style while General Grant has been around for some style lives in the Dancehall singing environment. The combination of singing styles, lyrical content and the progressive Soca music style all add up to a song that even "Vushung' will like! Vushung loves Soca and Calypso but will not tolerate sub standard lyrical content!

Take a listen to the song and let us know what you think. Do you think that this is a quality track or just another song that will not find favor with the listening public. Drop us a line.. we want the 411 on the song!
