Mr. Killa | Strong, Talented, Courageous & On The Cusp

Mr. Killa's song Rolly Polly is not a new song but in Trinidad and Tobago it is not the biggest song creating the most excitement for this year's Carnival - why is that the case? Well Rolly Polly, the song, came out of Grenada's 2013 Carnival season but the way it hit the shores of Trinidad and Tobago one would think that it was recently released. Pound for pound Mr. Killa has to be one of the strongest persons around! What is in the water in Grenada, or is it the ground provisions that he eats? Whatever it is, we need to take a bow and pay homage to his "close and centered" approach when he does his heavy lifting!

The key to the success of this song is the show that he puts on whenever he performs the song. This is the "Big Girls Anthem" and Mr. Killa has promoted his song in such a manner that instead of protests you have people with smiles on their faces. This song put the "Big Girls" in the spotlight in a fashionable and people friendly manner. Some may say that it is demeaning but up to this point he is looked upon as a hero of the Big Girls and great entertainment value for those watching the show.

Trinidad and Tobago Carnival 2014 will be remembered as the year of the "Rolly Polly" and it will be one year that Mr. Kill will always remember. There is a great chance that he will win the "Carib Breakout Artist of The Year" at the Soca Monarch Finals on Fantastic Friday.
