We Drinkin | Arri Peters feat. D'Chancellor | Trinidad 2014

This song was brought to my attention by an acquaintance who asked me to feature the song. The song is entitled "We Drinin" and the name of the lead singer is Arri Peters; the song also  features additional vocals form the artist known as  "Chancelor D". Take a listen to the song and give us some feedback!

The lyrical content is all about feting and having a good time for the upcoming festival in Trinidad and Tobago. However, when you listen to the song you would immediately recognize the melody; the music on the track is an adaptation of "Royals" by Grammy winner 'Lorde'.

I like the vibe on this one. If you love Lorde's song "Royals" then this Soca spin and Carnival lyrical content should invite you to party in style simply because it is a 'mélodie en vogue'. The Soca vibe added to the original melody is sweet and the singers did an excellent job on the production.

I look forward to hearing more music from Arri Peters but next time let's get something original that should help to propel this singer's career in sweet Trinidad and Tobago and the region. Zagada, the blog,  sends a shout-out to Mr. Sherwin Scott for looking out for this upcoming artist!
