This is Ravi B as you have never heard him before; he has stepped away from his comfort zone and delivered a song that should find favor with the radio stations and Soca lovers in general. This is a production of Sheriff Music (Black Ice Studios). The song was written by Nigel Rojas (guitarist on Differentology); the final mastering was done by Martin "Mice" Raymond.
I guess one can say the Ravi B has seen the light and is not doing his thing in the main stream Soca market. It is a good thing that he has a Chutney fan base but it is much better to spread out and make your mark in the bigger market. Ravi has done regular Soca before but not like his one - this is the music of Sheriff (the man who gave us Differentology).
This is a nice change of pace and musical style for Ravi B. He has shown that he has what it takes to mix it up with the regular Soca artists. We need to hear more of this style of music from this talented artist. Chutney Soca may be his 'bread and butter' but this new style works! Nice song and an excellent production (love the brass in the music) from Sheriff... I like it! Enjoy the vibez!
