The Power tracks are beginning to emerge as January ushers in the festival of Power Soca! This is new music from this Tobago artist (transplanted from Saint Vincent) Fya Empress. Along with her husband, David Reid, they have penned a vibrant track entitled "Earthquake 7.5". This is instructional Soca where Fya Empress instructs the Carnival massive to "jump on the ground and cause an earthquake in town".
Take this warning people because the lady is on fire jumping up and causing an earthquake all the way from Tobago. This track was produced by Neil Bernard with Fya Empress adding her fiery vocals to this entertaining Power Soca track.
As they say in the islands 'de ting jus' start' and the lady is not taking any prisoners! For those who were waiting for the Power tracks to drop this one is for you and for those who simply are fans of Fya Empress then surely you must be smiling from ear to ear. Fya Empress has released her statement for Carnival 2014 either you are part of the plan or just someone who does not have a clue... which team are you on?
