Junior has a very relaxed style singing this one but I noticed that his singing performance was safer. I did not hear any spirited voice intonations but one level vocal output. This is an interesting song because, as I mentioned before, it has a simple base Soca Riddim. Keeping things simple can work sometimes. This is one of those times; this is an ideal singing style for this artiste.
This song will end up as one of many new releases that did not get much airplay on radio in Trinidad and Tobago. The singer did a very good job and the lyrics kept on track and did not deal with rags and flags but remained on course with the story about the singer love for Soca music.

"Soca Take Me Away" tells a story of love for music and it was done in a style that may not be appreciated in this wukking and winin' era. However, I do appreciate the course of the writers for this song - well done.

I wish Junior Don well with this effort. I have said this many times in various posting but will say it again. This singer has to go out there and sell his brand to the radio jocks! If he fails in this regard this very good song will be just another song released for Carnival 2013 and will not be heard much.
