Sokah2Soca - The Heartbeat of Soca, Calypso, and Caribbean Music

This is  new music coming from a combination of UK/Bajan and Trinidad and Tobago Talents. The name of the singer is Ms. Desire (UK Groovy Soca Monarch) with the production done by Precision Productions out of  San Fernando, Trinidad. This song falls in the Groovy Soca category; there isn't anything dramatic or special about the production but it is a safe bet that this song would get its fair share of airplay.

When I first listened to the song I did not think that it would have any major impact for Trinidad's carnival 2013. I got the feeling that by the time January 2013 rings in that this song will be long forgotten. That does not mean that it is not a good track or not well produced but simply because it has been released so early in the season.

Carnival 2013 feels so far away and Miami Carnival is next week (this carnival officially brings the 2012 Carnival season to an end). If you believe that this song will have some stay power and will be on the radio next year then leave your comments via the comment feature of this posting. However, I do wish this young singer all the best with this offering. She will have to do some work to get her name out there if she wants to have any impact on the Trinidad and Tobago Carnival scene. I wish her all the best with this endeavor.
