The Song We Nearly Missed: Swappi’s “Fiesta”

Released October 17th, 2025
now and then, even when you’re fully plugged into the pulse of the music, something slips through the cracks. I was listening to Deso on WACK Radio recently when he mentioned that he totally missed this release. He even said we both missed it. I had to laugh because I was sure I knew this song. I told him he didn’t get the post I sent. Then I went back and checked… and yes, the song was sitting comfortably on my Soca playlist, but no post existed. As it is dropped on the street, 'my bad,' this one got by me. So tonight we correct that oversight, and honestly, this one deserves the spotlight.

“Fiesta,” written by Marvin Davis (Swappi) and Robert Amar, with music composed by Everald Johann Seaton and production by Madman Johann, is built with pure Carnival 2026 energy. This song has a vibe, a feeling that it will be a DJ favorite, the kind of rhythm that makes you want to dance and not sit and tap your feet. Swapp's unique style will get you in the groove, gliding over the beat with lyrics that celebrate the simple joy of a weekend lime. With calls like “everybody outside” and “everything brand new fresh,” the song leans fully into that carefree, celebratory spirit that Trinidadians carry like second nature.

There’s something timeless about a Soca track that reminds you to enjoy yourself regardless of what’s happening around you. “Fiesta” does exactly that—it invites you to step out, shake off the week, and embrace the good times waiting just beyond the door. It’s upbeat, infectious, and tailor‑made for the fetes that will define the 2026 season. If you haven’t heard it yet, you’re in for a treat. And if you already had it in rotation like I did, consider this song the official stamp it should have gotten from day one.
