Their new Soca track, “Wedding Band (Ms. Walker),” isn’t a remake. It’s a respectful reimagination. The song is a tribute to calypso storytelling, encapsulated in a contemporary Soca rhythm.
This concept is flattery at its highest degree: a young man asking Mrs. Walker for her daughter’s hand in marriage, pledging protection, affection, and lifelong devotion. But it’s not all solemn vows—there’s playful tension too. When she “pushes back,” he leans in. He likes it. And we like the cleverness.
