Junior Panorama Finals: The Greatest Savannah Party PTJPF2025


It is here, and it has been named "The Greatest Savannah Party" by the WACK  Visual Radio 90.1 FM. The kids have come out to play, and it sounds refreshing, and the excitement can be seen on the faces of the children. Get ready for a day of sweet steelband music with the future of the national instrument—as we say in Trinidad, "De Chirren Come Out To Play!"

So join us as we celebrate our national instrument at D'Savannah in Port of Spain, Trinidad, today, February 2, 2025, for an electrifying showcase of talent and tradition.

The next generation of pannists is here to excite you with brilliant musical arrangements carrying forward the beauty of our national instrument. 

Showtime is 9:00 am until finished, and that is expected to go up to and until 7:00 pm tonight. Don't miss out on this unforgettable event! The performances today include three categories of orchestration:
  1. Primary Schools—12 Steelbands
  2. Secondary Schools—10 Steelbands
  3. 21 & Under—12 Steelbands
It should be noted that there are some very strict rules regarding the performances today. Rules that are in place for control and simply because of the volume of bands and control of the event. 
  • The primary school bands should not have playing time that is less than four minutes and/or more than five minutes. 
  • The secondary school bands should not have playing time that is less than four minutes and/or more than five minutes. 
  • The 21 & Under bands should not have playing time that is less than four minutes and/or more than five minutes. 
  • There is a penalty of 1 point deducted from each judge from the scores if a band arrangement/play time falls under or over the limit. The deduction is 1 point for every fifteen seconds under or over the allotted time.
