Machel Montano and Destra Garcia released an energetic music video for their road smasher entitled, "Shake the Place". With just one week before Carnival hits the road, one can only surmise that MM and Destra are pushing for the Road March Title with this song. "Shake the Place" is indeed a compelling road warrior track and one that should entice masquerade bands and carnival revelers to play/demand this one while crossing the various judging points. Here is the question of the day, do you think that this song has a chance against the front-runner "Come Home" by Nailah and Skinny Fabulous or the party favorite "Hard Fete" by Bunji Garlin? Things are heating up and it should be an interesting two days of feting on the roads of Trinidad and Tobago. Only time will tell but don't bet against MM as he teams up with Destra Garcia for this Power Soca track. Then again, MM also has a song with Patrice Roberts that is also very popular.
