Hard Fete was released on November 25th. 2022 and quickly gained popularity in Trinidad & Tobago and throughout the Caribbean. This was Bunji Garlin's second Road March win, following his victory in 2019 with "Famalay" with Machel Montano and Skinny Fabulous. This Road March win was and will always be special because it was a solo victory!
Many fans and critics praised "Hard Fete" for its catchy melody and infectious energy, as well as its relatable lyrics about the excitement and chaos of a wild party. The song's success solidified Bunji Garlin's status as one of the top Soca artists in the world and continues to be a force to be reckoned with in the Trinidadian music scene.

It isn't my intention to apologize for the selection or post I made. Those who have crowned Nailah and Skinny with the Road March Title for carnival 2023 better keep their eyes on MM and his female sidekicks. I also have my selection, "Hard Fete" by Ian Alvarez aka Bunji Garlin. Considering the song's popularity, Bunji was forced to register it for the Road March competition... here it is!
I would think that masqueraders would prefer this hard-pounding style from Bunji rather than the ballad style from Nailah and Skinny. Yes, I understand that "Come Home" spits fire after Nailah's ballad-style introduction. However, from the shotgun sound, Bunji spews fire... This song is catching fire, "Hard Fete" all the way! I make no apologies for my selection."
