This is not a complicated post, this is just a simple post! This is a fun post of songs that reference 'Horn' and the comedy, seriousness, and playful ways this topic is dealt with by our Soca artists/music producers. Horn is serious business, for real people! Men kill each other because of 'horn' and the woman is left to continue on in her merry ways. The men involved are just as guilty as the women and most of the time they seek out persons and induce them to horn. But wait, we are talking about 'horn' as if everyone knows the term. What really is 'horn'. Well, horn is the West Indian word that references cheating in relationships. When someone says that 'yuh getting horn' it means that you are wearing blinders and can't see what is taking place with the one you have committed yourself to live with, love and protect and share the rest of your life or so you thought!
There is a classic statement that runs through every Caribbean neighborhood, 'men like to horn but cyar handle it when it touches home'. In other words, they like to cheat but can't handle it when cheated on. Really... men can't handle it when another man takes the honey... just ask Skinny Fabulous!
