The Digicel 'Safe & Sound' music series is an excellent music feature showcasing the talent of Trinidad & Tobago. Every episode, thus far, is compelling and can be considered a must-watch music installment for those who love the acoustic side of Soca.
Today's installment features four very talented artists making waves in the Soca music industry in Trinidad and Tobago and the Caribbean basin. The future of our music is in good hands. The following artists are featured in episode number four: Christo, Hey Choppi, Mical Teja, and radio Dj/Soca artist, Viking Ding Dong.
As the video unreels we have Mical Teja first up with three songs, Flava, Birthday, and Bumper Murder. Next is Christo with, Soca Feelings (Push Back), Gimme, and Nah. The third artist is Hey Choppi with, the very popular Captain, Gud Gud, Dizzy Me, and Space Jam. Finally, we have someone who likes to clown around a lot while doing Dj duties on the radio, Viking Ding Dong. Dingers as he is affectionately called by close friends is the surprise talent in Soca today. Viking Ding Dong closes the show with We Outside, Fed Up, and my favorite, Horning First. Enjoy the show.
