Machel x Ashanti vs Kes x Lira | Pick One | Carnival 2019

Shots fired and the you are here not just as a witness but as a connoisseur of sweet Soca music. So let's create a little music mischief... a joyful Kankalang of musical thought regarding two recent music releases. Soca Master Machel Montano x International recording artiste Ashanti vs 'The Ladies Darling', Kes x the beautiful South African singer, Lira (Lerato Molapo). Two songs produced by two DJ's... Travis World and Skorch Bun It. These songs are excellent but one has to rise to the top. Let's get to it...

Hold on now... no, I won't say much but my post on 'Soca For Love' already sold me out. OK, I will confess I am partial to Kes x Lira because it fill everything from A-Z. The Road by Machel x Ashanti feels more like an experimentation. A Power Soca track that will send Machel's fans crazy and will sell out Machel Monday for sure. We will take the uplifting lyrical content of "Soca For Love" over the party centric vibe of "The Road". We also prefer the vocal pairing of Kes x Lira over Machel x Ashanti. Oh, and by the way, we feel that Kes x Lira stands a better chance to transition beyond carnival to the North American and European markets. So what are you thoughts? Tell us what you think... we cyar wait to hear from you!
