Takin Over | Alison Hinds x College Boy Jesse x Skinny Fabulous x Mr Easy | 2019

Can you feel it? Listen well because it is coming soon. We are talking about carnivals in the Caribbean Basin for the calendar year 2019. Having said that one has to understand that apart from all the upcoming carnival fetes carnival is about the parade on the road.

Two days of pure fun, freedom and celebration of our creative talents. Masqueraders will take over the road for two day of exuberant celebration.

Today, artistes from four of the islands have come together to deliver a carnival anthem entitled, "Taking Over". Now lets get into it... we are confident that you will like this song.

Now let's do a little roll call, from Barbados we have Alison Hinds, from Trinidad & Tobago we have College Boy Jesse, from Saint Vincent & The Grenadines we have Gamal Doyle aka Skinny Fabulous and finally from Jamaica, we have Ian Dyer aka Mr. Easy. Did you catch your breath? It is not often that we have fours singers on a song in the  Soca genre. This is a production of 'SkyBad Musiq' released for all carnivals next year. First reactions for the song will come from Miami Carnival 2018 (final carnival for 2018). It would be interesting to get the reaction of the people to this production. By the time Trinidad and Tobago carnival takes precedence, this song may be on rotation on radio stations or it could be left behind because of the deluge of new music by Trinidad an Tobago Soca artistes.

So what do we think about the song? After all we chose to post and we should have an opinion about the song. So here goes. One Caribbean, One People, One Love, One Song. The feedback for this song is positive. This song deals with a situation that most carnival street revelers/masqueraders experience every year they choose to participate in these festivals. The vocals were on point and the song creates an excitement from each island involved in the song (singers). We are not sure that this song will take a hold in Trinidad because people generally gravitate to the music releases from their musical heroes... Machel Montano, Bunji Garlin and Kes The Band to name a few. It will be a pleasant surprise if this song can break that mold. We think that you should give this song a chance especially since the major artistes have not released songs yet.

We encourage you to support the artiste and the production team.
