Everyone should be very pleased with the volume of music released for Trinidad and Tobago Carnival 2018. It is not just about the volume of music but the quality of the music released to date... this is a year that the quality of the songs is very good. Today we present something different that should bode well for cross over Soca music lovers. We expect that the songs on this Riddim should do well overseas. On the local side of things we expect some to complain but they will eventually come around.

Anyone who loves Soca Music will love the Soca beat delivered on the drum kit! The music simply pulls you in. Those who love house music will gravitate to the music. This release is all about the music... if you love Soca then it does not matter that there are no 'big name' artistes attached to this Riddim. This is about the passion and love for music (Soca Music) as interpreted by four creative music producers out of Trinidad and Tobago.

The music is innovative and the vocals are different but complimentary to the music style. This is Power Soca taken to a different level. These songs will score in the 'club environment' but may labor to find a place during the carnival season. Then again, after King Carnival rests for another year we expect the 'Power Generation EP songs' to take hold as the carnival scene shifts to Europe and North America. We enjoyed listening to the songs and idea to take the music to a different place...

"Power soca has long been seen as the music that fuels the fete and powers the masqueraders on Carnival Monday and Tuesday.

But imagine power soca, that is, soca music over 125 beats per minute, as mood music, music you can listen to when you are down or music to help you reflect. Or imagine power Soca with no big name personality attached, just pure music for your own interpretation and enjoyment.

In the EP Power Generation, four producers put their heads and talents together to produce six tracks of Power Soca instrumentals that will challenge the way you perceive power Soca.
