This song is about one man's love for his culture and his fellow artistes. Winston Scarborough aka The Original De Fosto is not in the best of health. He has been in and out of the hospital facing an unknown future. However, his love for the art-form pushed him to deliver another musical gem for his adoring fans. The song is entitled "Journey of The Veterans". This is his first music release for Trinidad and Tobago's 2018 Carnival.

De Fosto can sing a nursery rhyme and make it sound good. He is a treasure in a time when most singers can't compose for themselves. He is a natural when it comes to composing for the steel pan. However, for this effort, he chose to address the plight of his fellow comrades in the Calypso Industry.

Everyone loves to listen to Calypso Music but today the focus remains of the Soca Music stars. A travesty when one thinks about it... the Calypsonians created the path for the modern day version of music the fuels Caribbean style Carnivals around the World. However, Calypsonians are now looked upon as custodians of the past when they have so much to offer. De Fosto begs his friends to 'hold on' with the hope of a better day coming...

When you listen to the song please pay attention to the names he addresses in the song. They are no longer young men but they need to be respected and cherished. We wish them well'

Having said all of the above we want to celebrate De Fosto's talent and his beautiful offering for Carnival 2018. Take a good look at the production notes and you will see the music was produced by the great Leston Paul. The back up vocals were done by the talented Derreck Seales and Natalie Yorke. Kudos to all involved in the production of this song... Well done!
