Grenada woke up this morning and nothing has changed in the World of Soca as it relates to the Spice Isle. The reigning monarchs from 2016 repeated and captured the Power and Groovy Soca Monarch titles once again.
Jalon Olive aka Boyzie had his fans in a frenzy so much so that they 'mash down d'fence' separating the audience from the competition stage. On the smoother side of things Dash had his fans dancing and celebrating his victory long before the official results were read. It was a good night for fans of these artists. Everyone else will have to re-tool for next years competition and hope that they can stop Boyzie from winning a fifth consecutive title.
