Cultural expressions in song can be used to uplift one if not many in a society. In the case of Calypso we have a very rich heritage of excellence in song with expressions of solidarity and advice to people of all walks of life. Today we continue that tradition.

The journey continues and the younger generation has taken up the challenge. Today we present a young Calypsonian with a message that applies to our current state of affairs and his advice regarding our 'Vanishing Heroes".The young man's name is Mickyle Calliste and his song is entitled "Vanishing Heroes".

Is that really the case? Have we lost our heroes or are we too jaded by the current state of the society to see that 'we still have heroes in Trinidad'? 'Vanishing Heroes', the song, addresses the topic. The song was well written by the very talented and well known Gregory Ballantyne (Calypso name GB) along with Mickyle Calliste. The young man can sing  but he can put his thoughts to pen and paper with good effect.
