‘Wah yuh doin?’ is melodic, dance-able and content based, true Jiggy Calypso style! We have to agree with that statement and have come to the conclusion that the Calypso Monarch Competition for 2017 is going to be a classic show down of talent. Today we present a new Calypso sung by Chuck Gordon; the song is entitled, Wah Yuh Doin'!

Earlier tonight we posted this song to our Facebook portal. We would like to share our post here with you: "Talk is cheap and Chuck Gordon recognized that fact and has a question for those who talk but don't act: "What's your contribution for a better Trinidad and Tobago"?

Kaiso, Kaiso... Chuck Gordon has a damn good Calypso and he knows how to win. This is going to be a tough one for the rest of the Calypso fraternity to compete against. Good luck to all who take up the challenge. Chuck Gordon is going to be hard to beat with this one!"

In a society where much has fallen down, and situations continue to worsen, it’s a time for reflection, more so a time for introspection. This requires each citizen looking at him or herself closely and taking personal responsibility for behaviors and actions.

Examine their role, purpose and contribution to the development of their community and country. Such is the sentiment espoused by Chuck Gordon in his 2017 Calypso contribution ‘Wah yuh doin’?

‘Wah yuh doin’ speaks to all and sundry in a clarion call for citizens to observe norms and values and not too overlook simple but significant behavioral patterns in their daily functioning. At the very top levels of our society to the average citizen wrongdoing and inaction pervades. Is it issues of our mindset?

Are our challenges deeply and culturally engrained? Is it our division socially and politically that cripples us? Or are we destined for destruction by virtue of poor leadership and management? These questions remain open for discussion. In the mean time we must ask ourselves ‘WAH YUH DOIN?” “What is your contribution to a better Trinbago?”
