Soca Monarch Winners 2015 | Olatunji & Machel Montano

Olatunji Yearwood won the Groovy Soca Monarch Competition while Machel Montano destroyed the stadium and took the Power Soca Monarch competition last night at the Hasley Crawford Stadium.

The Groovy Soca Monarch provided the best entertainment. All the contestants performed well and it was a toss up regarding who will win until Olatunji Yearwood performed. At that point it was signed sealed and delivered... a done deal! It was a nigh of excellent Groovy Soca performances with Olatunji Yearwood deservedly crowned the International Groovy Soca Monarch 2015.

On the other hand I was not moved by the Power Soca Competition. Some artists simply disappointed with a few providing some audible comfort. It was very easy to pick the winner in this category. Machel Montano was better than the rest of the contestants in every aspect. He simply is on a different level. This, as per the artist, was his last showing for the Power Soca Monarch Competition. He is moving on with his career. I don't understand how Mr. Killa was not in the top placings... I don't understand that at all.

The Results are as follows:

Digicel International Groovy Monarch Competition:
  1. Olatunji Yearwood
  2. Darryl "Farmer Nappy" Henry
  3. Ricardo Drue
  4. Destra Garcia
