I am still in-between (how I feel) even now that I am listening to the song and watching the YouTube Video picture on Julian's YouTube music link. OK, I will give this one my best shot.
I looked at at the photo and saw the rugged and mature Lyrikal and then saw Devyn, who looks like a child... what are they singing about? A man and a child singing a song about getting on bad in a fete? Lyrikal is an adult and has a fantastic voice and then there is Devyn singing with him about the 'right time to get on bad'... something did not feel right about that!
Now give the song to Lyrikal and the story line would have been different for sure. I understand that this is Devyn's song but her baby voice alongside Lyrikal's masculine and very mature voice simply does not feel ... well, it simply does not feel right. Sweet yes, but Lyrikal voice is to overwhelming for this one. Obviously Devyn is very talented and has a bright singing career ahead of her... I do hope that the people managing her don't get me wrong... I guess we may be passed that now but I always express how I feel with my posts - so be it!
Having said the above, the song and music are really good. This should have been all Lyrikal or Devyn complimented with a similar younger sounding voice and some adjustments to the lyrical content. The music and production was very good and every peeve aside, a very good/excellent vibe.
