Pan In The Atmosphere | Original De Fosto | Trinidad 2014

This is new music for Trinidad and Tobago's Panorama Competition form the very talented and "Lord Kitchener replacement", the very brilliant Original De Fosto! The song is entitled "Pan In The Atmosphere" and from the beginning I sensed that the great one, Lord Kitchener, put his hand and blessed this song. De Fosto is just a brilliant singer and also one of our best composers  in the Calypso art-form today.

The song was composed by Mighty Jamma, who also performs the pan solo on the track, and De Fosto. The arrangement was done by another great one Mr. Leston Paul. This will be an interesting year for steel pan music and I am grateful that De Fosto and his production team put this song on YouTube for easy access by anyone wishing to listen, comment on or simply post on a blog just like I did here - thank you to everyone concerned.

Please don't forget to add to the conversation - we want to get your opinion! Usually I ask if this is a keeper or one that you simply don't like... that does not apply for this song - it is a keeper! However, if you have something you want to say then you can voice your opinion by accessing the comment feature of this Blog post (top right hand corner) and leave your remarks! Let's try and refrain from Kankalang and Mauvais Langue discussions; just constructive criticism or positive vibes!

Now take a listen to the 'Acoustic Version' with the man showing how sweet his voice when it comes to the Calypso art-form. Give credit where credit is sorely lacking but deserved. The Original De Fosto is a treasure; he is a great composer and has not been given the credit due to him.  I wish him all the success due to anyone in competition this year. He will continue to prove the naysayers wrong... just ask Cossel, a Skinner's park toilet paper aficionado out of San Fernando, Trinidad! Just in case you did not know, you get pelted off the stage with toilet paper if you are not good or "they love to hate/tease you"! Cossell, please leave De Fosto alone!
