Jab Jab Riddim | Iwer, Olatunji, Tallpree/Millbeatz | 2014

Jab business is crossing over and coming to Trinidad with a sweet rivalry brewing up between Iwer George and Tallpree. Grenada has a passion when it comes to play Jab mass and they have a music industry that covers Jab music for years now. However, that does not mean that they own Jab music. Jabmolaise and Jab music has always been a part of Tridadad's carnival. However, the Grenadians may have cornered the market on Jab but Jab (Jambolaise and Devil Mas) is also part of the culture of Trinidad and Tobago from the slavery plantation era!

This latest riddim comes from Millbeatz Entertainment and features Iwer George with a song entitled "Jab Jab" followed by Olatunji with one entitled "Mad Up" and the rebuttal from Grenadian Tallpree entitled "Jab Business".

Now while the battleground features Iwer George on one side and Tallpree on the other side I am going with my favorite artist for 2014 Olatunji. Let the rest go and paste themselves with mud, oil and molasses and fight the Jab war. I will vibe with Olatunji... sweet indeed.

So what about this so called battle going on here? Does Tallpree really feel that Iwer is trying to take over and lead with Jab style music? I have a feeling he wanted to get on the riddim and decided that this would be a good way to create a buzz with some mischievous lyrical content! Trinis love to maco and most of all they love bacchanal scenarios. This song by Tallpree could add the needed hype to the riddim but I can't say the Tallpree's song on the riddim tops Iwer or even Olatunji's song! Tallpree comes in third place on this riddim!

Take a listen to the songs and let us know what you think about the three songs on the riddim and especially Tallpree's song that clearly goes head to head with Iwer George's song and role as a Jab specialist. Let the Jab war begin! I am on Olatunji's side, you guys can fuss over Iwer and Tallpree!
