Dheen Ta Na | Rick Ramoutar & Denise Belfon | T'dad 2014

Sweet! Denise Belfon has been very busy lately and this release is another collaborative effort that play out well! This is new music from Rick Ramoutar and Denise Belfom in the Chutney Soca genre. This is a very good pairing of  vocalists.

This song simply works! Denise has surely imprinted her style on the track. The music takes you to both musical worlds - Soca and Chutney Soca.

This sounds like chutney at times and just a damn good Groovy Soca track at times. I would venture to state that this is just a good Groovy Soca track with some Indian instruments added to the vibe. However, please note that  it is marketed as a Chutney Soca song!

I like this song because of the fusion of musical elements and the fact that the singers sound good together on this one produced by David Millien of Millbeatz Entertainment. The hook of "Dheen Ta Na" has nice feel to it and the music lends a nice groovy slow wine or good for chipping to the vibe. Nice song... well done guys!

I like this track. However, I wonder what to make of it when Rick Ramoutar has declared it his official entry for Chutney Soca Monarch 2014 though it follows the 'bollyney' formula (which goes against promoter George Singh's 'requirements' that compositions contain 'original' melodies) that dominated chutney soca offerings several years ago. The melody of this track is adapted from "Dheem T Dare" from the 1999 Bollywood film, "Takshak."

The song is nice . The concept and melody is quite refreshing and sparks a new shift in d production of chutney soca music . While there is a hint of a line from a bollywood song . The beat and melody and rythym is totally original . I don't see the screening team rejecting this song . Great song and excellent production . Seeing a contender for the csm with Rick and Denise
