Boom Boom | Anslem Douglas | Trinidad & Tobago 2014

This is new music from the veteran singer Anslem Douglas. This one carries the traditional sound of Soca with the drum-set laying the foundation for a song entitled "Boom Boom".

There isn't much to the lyrics with the message repeated for effect again and again and again. This one is more about the music than the lyrical content. A little bit of patience and work on the lyrics could have led to a better song with meaningful lyrics. This one gets a pass. I don't see this song cementing its place as one to watch for Carnival 2014. It has potential but the lyrics need some work.

If you are a fan of Anslem Douglas then you will be pleased that he has a new song on the market; he still has what it takes as an artist. I just wished he did a better job with the lyrics. The music production brought back the Soca beat that is beginning to fall off Planet Soca. Nice job with  the rhythms. As I said before this one gets a pass but don't expect it to get on rotation on radio.
