Beat Of Soca | Swappi 4D | Trinidad & Tobago 2014

The beat of Soca is in the air and artists are releasing new music every day. Today we have one that is appropiately entitled "Beat Of Soca". This is new music from Swappi 4D produced by Dante, mixed by 'DreThePhoenix' and mastered by Martin 'Mice' Raymond. This music was taylor-made for Swappi's style and I place this one in a category I will call "Progressive Soca" - unusual but sweet to groove with and have a damn good time.

Progressive sounds indeed but don't expect to hear this one on Carnival day in any one of the bands with masqueraders jumping up and having a good time. There is a place for this style and it will 'play well' in the clubs and party scene. This is also an excellent track for your MP3 player and while driving on the highways! Soca is growing and spreading and with that more innovative sounds like this one will surely find an accepting and thrilled audience. I like this song and love the creative vibe dropped by Dante and Swappi 4D!

This one is funky, it has 'vibez' and it will surely be heard long after Carnival 2014 leaves the shores of Trinidad and Tobago and head up the islands. Interesting and infectious vibe and one that will grow on you - listen it and play it again and you will understand why it will grow on you!

Is this soca? It's a song about soca. I'm beginning to thing the Island Pop moniker is more appropriate every day.

That a marketing issue... I guess everything that a Soca artist or Producer of Soca drops will be marketed under the name of Soca... does not mean that it is Soca but that is just the case...

I am on your side with this but I am just as guilty because I called it 'progressive soca'!

I don't even think that island pop suits this one... it is pretty funky... don't you think... I would go with 'Alternative Trini Vibe'... and you are on you own with the "Betty" thing... LOL
