I like Ziggy Rankin as an artist but I am a realist. I don't expect this song to wow people back home. A lot depends on the airplay a song receives on radio. Even the one radio station that features 'total local' seems to have a difficult time featuring songs that appear to appeal to people outside of Trinidad and Tobago. Some of the on-line radios stations in the US and the UK feature a better variety of Trinidad and Tobago's music that I hear from the stations at home. I wish Ziggy well but I have a gut feeling that this song will not receive the needed air play so that most of Trinidad and Tobago can get a feel for the song.
The bottom line is that this is a good offering from Ziggy Rankin but I don't expect it to become one of the popular songs that will receive the much needed rotation from those finicky DJ's on the radio. Good luck to Ziggy and his management.
