The name of the artist is Saffire and she is off and running with a rhythm pumping track entitled "Excitement". This song is a production of Fryktion with the writing skills of Problem Child supporting this artist. It looks like Problem Child and Fryktion have decided to get involved in a big way for Trinidad and Tobago's Carnival. This is just another of their offering for the 2014 festival. Earlier I featured the "Festive Riddim" also produced by Fryktion with songs written by Problem Child.
Saffire surely has the looks and the music has the right vibe for the Power Soca segment. However, her voice is not well known (and will take some getting used to/a little sharp on the high end); and unless the radio stations push the song it will not have the impact that the production team desire. In other words they better get off and running with promotions on the various radio stations to help push the song. This is a good offering by Saffire and her production team but she is not well known and that could hinder progress for this song.
Then again someone like you reading this post and after sampling the track can call into the radio stations and request the song. That will help create an awareness and then all is fair in radio play. DJ's hear a song and like it or they don't. If they like what they hear then, as an artist, you are half way there. The quality of the track will carry the song. The lady has the looks, the music has the vibe and the Power segment just got some life. I like the song and the work done by Fryktion and Problem Child.
