Emotions | Iwer George | Trinidad & Tobago 2014

I listened to this latest offering from Iwer George and felt a little confused at first. This song takes you on a roller coaster ride of highs and lows as it relates to speed and musical style. The musical concept is different and is a blend of Caribbean and North American musical vibes.

The song is entitled Emotions and surely Iwer had me in a tizzy or should I say musical emotional confusion. My emotions were surely taken for a ride with this song! I am still wondering about what Iwer wanted to achieve with this song. Indeed if he is attempting to reposition himself in the industry then the songs released to day will have many wondering what is going on with Iwer? What is his musical identity at this time? I am not sure what is going on here but rest assured Iwer looks like he is just getting started and we should expect songs to come from 'left field' from Iwer as we approach Carnival 2014. Is this Soca or Island Pop... can you identify with Iwer on this vibe?
