This is my second post on this song; the previous post did not find favor with the artist; Erphaan expressed his feelings via a twitter posting. Obviously he was not enamored by the criticisms made about the quality of the YouTube video release.  I was told not to use YouTube videos to critique the music; my response is that you should not post poor quality audio on YouTube!

YouTube is a great outlet and if I can drop it after listening the music then the same can be said for much of the people seeking out your music. Personally I believe my post was not flawed. Similar criticisms were made elsewhere (islandmix) so I was not the only person who noticed the poor quality of the video release. Enough of that...

OK, so here is the song again as it was posted on islandmix.com. I am not going to be liked for this but I still have a problem with the production. Erphaan Alves and Blaxx are two excellent singers and judging from the original video posted it looks like they enjoyed recording the song. However, this will not make the song a success. Lyrics that catch on with the public and good music production will help make things happen. Having said that, when I listen to the song I hear vocals and rhythm!  The question I have to ask the artist and producers is where are the instruments that add to the music? Hear me again, Vocals and rhythms! Keyboards and other instruments that are up there with the vocals (harmonize with the vocals) are missing! Yes, there is the guitar but is feels like it got lost in the vocals and rhythm section.

At least the concept of the song is on the spot... the song captures the essence of the Carnival experience where drinking (alcoholic beverages) is the norm for the festival and people are simply having fun as soon as they get hooked with the contagious vibes... that much is true/real!

Erphaan, Blaxx, Sheriff and King Bubba... something may be seriously wrong with me but I am standing firm with my commentary. What is your opinion? Pleas leave your feedback via the comment feature of this Blog post (top right hand corner).
