Bam Bam Available | Naki | Trinidad & Tobago 2014

I am posting this song because it is 'new music' for Trinidad and Tobago's Carnival 2014. The people who worked on this song are respected people in the industry and I really do like Jason 'Shaft' Bishop. I still play the 'Breadfruit' song he wrote and sang. However, I have to say that I have a problem with the lyrics for this song. We need to move on from the stereotypical "wine on ah bam bam/bam bam available" & "shaking up meh ass" lyrics. Is this the best we have to offer? Come on guys.... seriously now!
Jason is an excellent song writer and Naki has a voice that should do well in this Soca Industry. However, there are many stories out there to be told; these people are too damn talented to keep on prostituting women in song! Soca and Sexual innuendos need to be looked at seriously.

What the hell is this "Bam Bam Available" ... let's move on and produce songs with lyrics that will appeal to a wider audience. When one sings a song with the title "Bam Bam Available" then the artist is saying I am doing this song to appeal to just the wining mentality that Caribbean Carnivals cater too to a great extent. We don't need to have our young girls singing this song and the young men (with blazing testosterone levels) taking these lyrics to heart. We can do better than this and create music that would reach out to the rest of the World.

I like the beat and the music done by Bayete Williams however, I have to give the lyrics a "C"! In other words they wasted some really good music with such poor lyrical content! Can these artists do better? Hell yes they can!
