Casym Wins Labor Day Panorama 2013 | Brooklyn, NYC

Casym Steel Orchestra emerged as the convincing winner of the Brooklyn Panorama competition last night/early this morning. Casym scored 481 points beating out second place Sonatas by eleven points. The scores that followed showed that the rest were on the same level separated by single points.

Casym played Fantastic Friday by Austin "Super Blue" Lyons with the musical arrangement done by the very popular Duvone Stewart. The Captain of the band is Travis Roberts and the man who tuned the pan instruments is Andy Neils. It should be noted that the every band that placed from first to 4th place all played Super Blue's 'Fantastic Friday'!

In the end it was a time to celebrate the joy of the steel band. The people who attended the show were treated to steel pan music that reminded then how beautiful the instrument has always been; it will be a joyous occasion when Trinidad and Tobago's Panorama 2014 comes into play again.

Congratulations are extended to every band that performed last night/early this morning. Read more about the Brooklyn Panorama competition at the Pan On The Net website at the following link: panonthenet.
