This Saturday (July 20, 2013) is the second annual Carnival celebration in Atlantic City. This Carnival celebration has the potential to grow and become very popular simply because of the venue.
Most people visit Atlantic City to take a walk on the boardwalk and spend some time in the Casinos. Now they can do it all! This is the ideal opportunity to spend a weekend on the Boardwalk and enjoy West Indian style carnival feting.
This year the Atlantic City Carnival is a collaboration with the Maracas Nightclub and WIN TV Caribbean. The festivities begin at 12:00 noon and live coverage will be sponsored/streamed via the Internet on Win TV.
Everyone who has plans for these events should take note of the current weather conditions! The heatwave that has engulfed the area reached a high of 105° today and is expected to be about 88° tonight. Please drink lots of water (I know, they may run out of beers tonight!): it is expected to reach a high of 95° tomorrow and cool down to 86° on Sunday. Go out and have fun but be smart in the heat!
