Not because it is close to festival time for the Carnivals 'up d'islands' it means that Trinidad and Tobago remains out of the new music loop! Hell no, if you take into consideration that Fya Empress lives in Tobago and has the Trini feel to her music then SVG Carnival already has a Trini vibe/swagger to it but carries a Vincy label because Fya Empress is a born Vincy! 

If already feels like the Trinis are gearing up for Carnival 2014! Having said that, there are many songs being released in Trinidad 'after d'carnival' went to sleep! This song featured here for this posting was produced by Mastermind Productions with vocals done by Jason Benn with Baby Face.

It already feels like it is time for the Trini artists to begin releasing new music for 2014. There are so many new song releases for carnivals up the islands that it is hard to keep up with them. Then again the music is geared for those carnivals and do not resonate well with the Trinidad audiences. That is a fact because I don't hear them being played on radio stations in Trinidad and Tobago! This new song titled 'start de jammin' has that Trini feel and Mastermind has done well with this one. Trinidad and Tobago artists are now releasing music all year and that augers well for the music industry in the twin island republic. 

I like the vibe that Mastermind and Jason Benn have brought tot he table with this song. The music is sweet and the vibe jumps out from the start all to the end. There is no dull moment in this one and there is a familiarity with the 'sound of the music and vocalization. I like this one!
